The Lesson Plan
The children chattering on their way to school
Have carefree minds and such,
Each day the teacher lays down the rule: Oh,

Let's not give them too much...
E
lapsed the time, and years go by,
So soon the fleeting hours,
Student was, now teacher, cries
Oh, let's not give as ours.      So,
Now the standard's lower, some, and

Perchance the time will come, when
Learned teachers seem a myth
And school is just a lark; we wonder,
Now we wonder - 'How did those ages get so dark?'
