In response to: For the sake of another

Actually, I HAVE read Ayn Rand. I enjoyed Atlas Shrugged, and The Fountainhead. I just might add that living for the sake of another versus caring for another becomes a little clouded in the semantics, when we choose to do something for someone else. The difference is choice. My choice, or someone else's. And when that someone else is making my choice, that is called manipulation. And when you absolutely refuse to be manipulated, you just might have a lonely trip.

Thank you for sharing, Curtis!

I take it, from your dismissal of Rand's theme, that you read Atlas Shrugged without thinking about the philosophical ideas she was presenting. Or, more than likely, you decided not to read it. Your loss, though.
